Buttons and Bows
What's a fresh combo for spring? An off-the-shoulder blouse paired with a choker. This pairing could go sexy quickly, but the right picks can also be super sweet and perfect for a Sunday brunch, bridal shower, or early dinner with grandma. This may be my favorite blouse of the season. It is a play on a men's button down shirt with a pair of extra sleeves that tie into a big bow. The result is a juxtaposing menswear meets ultra femme effect all in one garment! I played up the daintiness of the bow by choosing an ethereal beaded choker as opposed to a tougher, black leather band. The matching pink suede, kitten-heeled pumps are the epitome of ladylike and a literal step up from the ballet flat. As a loyal skyscraper heel wearer, I never thought I would embrace the kitten heel, but there's a time and place for everything. This pair is so polished with skinny jeans and works equally great with spring's too-short for high, high heels mini dresses. Nothing tones down the sexy and ups the sweet like a kitten heel!
