I am one of those ridiculous people who over-accessorizes at the beach. I can't help it. I love piling on bright bling with sundresses and coverups. If you're worried about tan lines from necklaces or bracelets, you can at least wear a great pair of tribal-inspried beaded earrings in jade, coral, or my favorite, turquoise. A statement earring adds a touch of glamour to a free-spirited beach frolic, and works whether your hair is back in a loose braid, thrown up in a messy bun, or down and wavy. Of course, feel free to follow my "more-is-more" motto and layer on the excessive accessories.

Like a dream

This past weekend I escaped Fashion Week madness for a couple of days of sun, sand, and sleep in Palm Beach. This mini jaunt feels like only a dream now that I am back to my hustle-bustle reality in NYC. I only know I was actually there because I have these photos to prove it. I wish I could say I feel completely recharged and rejuvenated, but I definitely could have used a few more days away. I am grateful I had a bit of relaxing time with my family and at least I have a little tan to show for it.

Beach Trip Packing Tip: Resort-wear means a coverup can double as a dress. After 8 straight days of planning outfits during Fashion Week, I had little energy to pack. I brought this Pia Pauro coverup to wear to the pool. Simply adding a slip underneath made it dinner-appropriate. Throw in a bikini, flip flops, and some bright accessories to take the look from day to night, and voila! Packing done. (Oh yeah, don't forget underwear. I always do that. EEEKKKK.)
