Candy Striper
We're earning our stripes this season and it's no surprise! On the spring 2016 runways, just about every major designer from Prada to Dolce & Gabbana to Gucci brought a line up of vibrant-hued horizontals and verticals. Although a consistently classic pattern, summer has given us a fresh take on stripey styles with statement-making colors in bold, graphic lines. The result is a candy-striping sweetness reminiscent of the carnivals and circuses of yesteryear. Accessories can be minimal or playful depending on the occasion. I chose to continue the stripe theme with a gladiator sandal. I would suggest to stick to neutrals and choose only one accessory in a bright color (like these bangles) to ensure that the stripes are the star of the show.
