Adventures in Paris
I had 3 goals for my first trip to Paris:
1. Eat my weight in chocolate croissants.
2. Score SOMETHING vintage Chanel.
3. See the obligatory tourist attractions (Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Pont des Arts, oh yah…and 31 Rue Cambon aka Coco Chanel's apartment and headquarters…now a ridiculously large and amazing Chanel store.)
First order of business:
Second order of business: a search for vintage Chanel brought me to a Japanese-owned store, Yukiko, described as: "your most stylish girlfriend's closet filled with bags and accessories by Chanel."
When vintage shopping you can't go searching for something specific. You have to see which amazing pieces find you! On this particular day at Yukiko, a vintage Chanel magnifying glass on a substantial, long gold chain found me. It came in quite handy for close detail analysis of paintings at the Louvre. Kidding, but it looked chic. Which brings me to my third order of business: touring.
The Louvre:
In case you were wondering, this is what it's really like to visit the Mona Lisa.
The Eiffel Tower:
Pont des Arts: an incredibly beautiful and romantic experience...heart is melting...
and of course 31 Rue Cambon...
I'd say it was a very successful first Parisian adventure and I can't wait to go back!
