Finally Fall
Ever since my Pologeorgis showroom visit, I've been dreaming up outfits starring my new fox vest! Now that autumn is officially here, I want to share my first fur of the season with all you. In honor of this momentous occasion, I spent a "rawther glamorous" (Eloise at the Plaza, if you will) afternoon at Bergdorf Goodman. This look reminds me of a modern take on the uptown, mink stole and Chanel tweed clad lady-who-lunches. Because this vintage-heavy look could go grandma (chic grandma, but grandma nonetheless) very quickly, I incorporated several downtown-esque accessories. The blue/green fur vest replaces a brown mink stole, the gold booties replace a classic black pump, and the Ray-Ban Clubmasters replace an oversized pair of Jackie O's, giving this ensemble just the right amount of unexpected excessive edge. I guess I can call this outfit "Excessive Edgy Grandma goes to Bergdorf."
